About

About us

The Haven Rest Home is a family run business. Operating since 1982 with the same ownership group, we are now also recognised as a Training Centre for 9 mandatory health and social care courses.

The home has a registration to support 20 residents. The aim and objective of the home is to provide each of these Residents, as far as is possible, with a life style as similar to those who remain in their own home.

We value each and every individual who comes to live at The Haven Rest Home. We welcome applications from people from all walks of life and with many different needs, who enjoy the opportunity to share and celebrate the richness and diversity of their experience. All residents are assured that they will be treated with the utmost respect and dignity according to their individual needs and wishes.

Our history

Since 1982, the building has been widely extended and modernised, with a passenger lift serving the upper floor, meaning residents are not restricted to units/floors. There is on-site parking available and a lovely large back garden, that residents like to make good use of (English weather allowing, of course!).

The team work hard to create a safe and comfortable atmosphere for residents, in a homely environment. They strive to provide the highest standard of care. They cater for all dietary needs.

Their values stem from their belief in promoting life skills and independence for the people who come to reside at The Haven. The team promote and provide person Centre Care which begins with a comprehensive assessment of needs, from which they then develop a tailored plan of care that best suits the individual.

Our Management Team

Our Care Staff

In order to maintain the very highest standards of care, we ensure that our team are trained and qualified to care for our residents. The Home managers are qualified to NVQ Level 5 and all team members are qualified by the Care Certificate, equivalent to NVQ Level 2. As well as running an intensive induction program we provide internal training or e-learning in statutory subjects, refreshed annually. Competencies and themed supervisions are used to ensure that trainings provided are understood and reflected in practice.
