Daytime Care

Haven Rest Home is available to provide daytime care for your loved ones who continue to sleep at home but would enjoy the stimulation of a Haven during the day.


You are more than welcome to come and join your loved one for lunch, or a cup of tea at any time.

Haven has a dedicated day care team. We understand that caring for a relative at home 24 hours a day can be very hard work, and can take some of the pleasure away from the time you spend with your loved one.


Our day care visitors can join us from 10am until 2pm, this includes lunch. It also includes any entertainment or activites taking place on the day.


If you or your loved one are not quite ready for full time care we can offer a stepping stone approach, we are happy to help with one day, increasing slowly to ease loved ones into going into full time care.


We provide warm and friendly professional care services and plenty of optional activities whilst promoting health and nutrition with home cooked meals and refreshments.

  • Do you provide dementia care?

    Yes, we treat all of our residents as individuals and tailor our care around their needs. With the help of family and loved ones, we are able to get to know our residents, creating a picture of their life and ensuring we base our care around their likes, dislikes and habits.

  • Do you provide respite services?

    The Haven Rest Home recognizes that caring for a loved one can be rewarding, but time off for both of you is essential. Short care breaks, also known as respite, allow family carers the time to recharge their batteries while offering their loved ones the reassurance of 24-hour care.

  • Do you provide end of life care?

    Also known as palliative care – is the care of people with an illness where recovery is not expected. We understand how difficult and emotional these situations are, which is why we provide respectful pro-active care for residents and relatives in their last days of life, ensuring their physical, psychological, social and spiritual needs are considered and met.


    We work closely with members of the external multi-disciplinary community teams which include the residents’ GP, the District Nurses and other specialists to ensure our residents’ needs are met swiftly and appropriately.


  • What time do you provide day care?

    Our day time service is available 10am to 2pm.
