From companionship to respite care, whether it’s making a cup of tea and chatting about the news or helping arrange social engagement and encouraging a wider interaction. Each client is different and has their own bespoke needs.

Haven has a dedicated domiciliary care team.

We understand how important it is for our clients to remain in their own homes, surrounded by a lifetime of memories.  So we bring the magic of Haven to our clients' homes.

FAQ

  • What area do you service?

We have clients in Drayton, Cosham, Bedhampton Havant and Crookhorn.

  • What type of general home help care do you provide?

Various tasks around the home can become challenging as our loved ones enter an advanced age.

Our trained staff can ascertain fairly swiftly which areas they can make an immediate helpful improvement. It may be meal preparation, cleaning out dated food from the fridge and general nutrition or more standard housework such as ironing or cleaning.

Our services also extend to personal care, help with medication and general mobility. Dedicated home help support gives peace of mind that our clients are well cared for in a dignified and warm manner.

Our clients wish to maintain an element of independence, but welcome home help where it is needed. In fact this type of support is varied, so much so that we encourage you to get in touch to find out more.

  • Do you provide respite services?

The Haven Rest Home recognises that caring for a loved one can be rewarding, but time off for both of you is essential. Short care breaks, also known as respite, allow family carers the time to recharge their batteries while offering their loved ones the reassurance of 24-hour care.

As part of our domicilary service we can take over from you whilst yoru loved one stays at hoem, and you take  awell deserved break.

  • Do you provide end of life care?

Also known as palliative care – is the care of people with an illness where recovery is not expected. We understand how difficult and emotional these situations are, which is why we provide respectful pro-active care for residents and relatives in their last days of life, ensuring their physical, psychological, social and spiritual needs are considered and met.

We work closely with members of the external multi-disciplinary community teams which include the residents’ GP, the District Nurses and other specialists to ensure our residents’ needs are met swiftly and appropriately.
